About this Unique Horsehair Bridle Set:

This bridle set is attributed to an inmate in Deer Lodge Prison, Montana - hitched in the early 1920's.  It is in absolutely wonderful condition.  The bridle incorporates a number of colors throughout: pink, red, green, blue, yellow, black and natural. There are lots of diamond in diamond pattern embellishments, tassels, and knots.  The open-style reins are in excellent condition.  The bit is modest and un-engraved, typical of those produced at Deer Lodge Prison.  The rosettes on this bridle are spectacular, clear and vivid - there are 4.  The bottom two rosettes feature a jockey's cap, quirt and laurel sprig under domed glass and the top two show a spirited horse's head, also under domed glass.

The bridle measures 19" in length and the reins are 40" long, the romel is 39" long and the poppers are 14"
