These
#13 Custom Ordered silver spurs are an extremely collectible example of the work
being produced by the Elko, Nevada shop of G.S. Garcia prior ca. 1917. The
special order on these spurs is the full curve shank and the 2" -10 point specially
engraved rowel, both of which were options when the spurs were made.
is beautifully inlaid with engraved silver. The chap guard and engraved
10-point rowel style on these spurs was used in quite a few variations
by G. S. Garcia.

About The Spurs:
These spurs are hand-forged and
inlaid with silver, then engraved masterfully -- as was the practice of
the time. This pair of spurs would add weight to any
collection. The maker's mark is authentic and period correct. The
full curve shank Each spur is stamped. The famous "G.S. GARCIA" is stamped on the inside of the right spur and "ELKO, NEV" - with the 'Dutch' or Inverted N on the inside of the left spur. Condition is very good, all parts are solid. The rowels show signs of use and are original to the spurs. The vintage 2-piece flower-stamped leathers are beautiful, with lovely conchos, stamped "Ray Holes Saddle Co. Grangeville, Idaho". A great find! A true piece of Western spur history.
