Fancy Peacock Spurs (click here for matching bit) Peacock Spurs and Bit Set - Each spur and the bit are stamped JWL on the inside.
The spurs are equally ornate and feature the
same peacock on each. On the other side (the inside) of the spurs, there
is a silver star engraved beautifully and bracketed on either side by identical
silver feather crescents. The inner and the outer buttons are overlaid
with silver in a classic cowboy concho pattern. The beautifully crafted
16-point rowels are accented by silver buttons on both sides. Even more
feathers decorate the shank. The spurs are each 6 and 1/2 inches long and
3 and 1/4 inches (inner measurement) at the yoke. The rowels are 1 and 1/2
inches in diameter. Each peacock measures 1 and 1/2 inches. There are 2 on the bit and 1 on each spur. Each silver peacock is decorated with 9 red Austrian Crystals at the 'eye' of each peacock feather. In keeping with the vintage/antiquities preservation ideal, none of the silver is polished, so as to keep its beautiful, natural patina. The Texas Star on the inside of each spur also measures 1 and 1/2 inches and is also bracketed by the same silver peacock feathers. The spur is each marked with the initials JWL.
