Lichtenberger Ferguson Classic Antique Cowboy Chaps

This is a beautiful pair of antique chaps, incorporating all the essential elements of chaps being made in the 1920's and 1930's.  They are made of thick tanned leather in the batwing style.  Age has mellowed the color into a deep chocolate and the signs of use add excellent character. The belt is stamped in an intricately woven pattern and the maker's mark is clearly visible.  14 conchos adorn the legs of these chaps which are further embellished with tacks along the edge of each leg and placed in the shape of a 5-pointed star at the foot.  A wonderful addition to any collection or for use as unique decor for the exclusive ranch house.

Lichtenberger Ferguson Co. was a Los Angeles, California company that operated between the 1923 and 1959.  It began under the name Los Angeles Saddlery (1920-1923) and was sold to Heiser Saddlery in 1958 along with Keyston Brothers to create the three-label company: Heiser - Keyston- Lichtenberger.  Lichtenberger-Ferguson chaps, saddles and holsters were prized for their workmanship and style.  They continue to be highly collectible pieces today.
