Dee Dee Garcia White is the granddaughter of G.S. Garcia and the daughter of Henry Garcia. Dee Dee grew up in Salinas, California spending her time in her parent’s store, Garcia Saddlery Company, and riding horses. She became an accomplished horsewoman and later trained horses and riders who also became champions. It is her family history, documents, and photographs that provide the depth and richness to the text of Legacy of Silver and Saddles—G.S. Garcia to J.M. Capriola Co. 1864 to 2004.
