THE DEN DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOGRAPHS Across the entryway on the other side of the front of Casa Andesita is a room that is a great den, library or guest bedroom. Again, the open ceiling and large windows allow in light and keeps the feel of the room large and open. One of looks out upon the front lawn and forest, the other window supplies a near view of a mature guava tree and provides a beautiful uninterrupted view of lower hills and mountains ending with the distant Nicoya peninsula and the Pacific Ocean. The flooring continues the pattern in the kitchen, walk-in closet to the master bedroom, dining room and front bathroom. It is hand-laid ceramic tile in the Spanish style. Outlets are readily available and properly placed for electronics of all kinds - lamps, stereo, computer and/or television. The room is large enough for multiple pieces of furniture - the current occupant family (renting and having a desire to continue renting under new ownership) uses it as a nursery room. Convenient shelving is built in on 3 walls of the room, constructed of beautiful mahogany and other local hardwoods.

View taken with the photographer's back to the Front Yard. The high open ceiling enhances the airy feel of the room. The library is on the other side of the hardwood wall. The Kitchen/Dining Room and wide hallway are to the left.
View of wide hallway between the left side of the house and the right side, taken from the entrance to the den. The first door from the kitchen on the right is the entrance to the master bedroom through a walk-in closet with a sliding door. The second door, bordered by white paint, is a bathroom. Directly to the left (unseen) is another large window that looks out on the roofed entryway.
View from Kitchen/Dining Room. To the left is the bathroom door. Straight ahead is the library, ahead right is the den. Directly to the right (unseen) is another large window that looks out on the roofed entryway.
The left window overlooks the splendid view all the way down to the Pacific. The right window provides a view of the front yard.
