DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOGRAPHS

Casa Andesita's dining room continues the open, airy feel of carefully designed living space.  Here again, large windows are present to allow natural light and provide a view of lush greenery, forest and the front lawn and path used by approaching visitors.  The flooring continues the pattern in the kitchen, walk-in closet to the master bedroom, front guest room and front bathroom.  It is hand-laid ceramic tile in the Spanish style.  Outlets are readily available and properly placed for electronics of all kinds - lamps, stereo, computer and/or television.  The high ceiling and open style of construction promotes a unity between this room and the kitchen that invites uninterrupted interaction between guests and hosts even when kitchen duty is necessary.  A vintage wood burning cook-stove that is extremely easy to operate, warms the house on the few evenings per year when additional heat is welcome and adds functional charm to the room.

The dining room has lots of light and very high ceilings.  There are four large windows on the kitchen/dining room side of the house. 

The open ceiling design allows both rooms to benefit from the natural light.

The windows look out upon the lush views of Casa Andesita's forested areas as well as the lawn, vines and ornamental flower bushes.

The door seen to the left of this photograph is the main entrance. 

The door was photographed open, as can be seen by the next photograph - showing the built-in window boxes in the covered portico.

This is the kitchen, of course.
