THE LIBRARY

The library is the connecting room between the front (original) part of the house and the additional rooms that were built onto the house in the recent remodel - the original house was made up of the kitchen, pantry living/dining room walk-in closet, den, front bathroom and library.  The new addition to the house adds a master bedroom which adjoins the walk-in closet, an airy and light office with windows looking out on the new veranda that runs the length of the new addition overlooking the mountain view, a second bathroom, a third bedroom and the laundry room that also has additional shelving for storage.

The library room benefits from the high open ceiling design and has a custom-made wooden sliding door, seen on the left.

The door effectively creates a privacy barrier between the more public area of the house and the office, master bedroom and back bedroom.

This view of the library is taken with the photographer's back in the corner by the den and the exterior wall.

This is the library window looking out onto forest, the banana plantation and garden area - and providing a great view of the San Luis Valley.  The artisan hardwood wall is shared with the den, located on the other side.

This is the library.  The stairs lead up to the office. 

The windows on the right look out onto the garden, including bananas, guavas, plantains and sugar cane.

This is the office, the stairs at the top of the photo lead directly into the library. 

The porch is on the left just outside of the day bed windows.  I love the hardwood floors.
