THE OFFICE

DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOGRAPHS

The office is a large open and airy room that has doors to the library, the master bedroom, the second bathroom, the back bedroom and the side deck.  It is in the new additional part of the house and has large windows looking out on the new balcony/porch overlooking the mountain view.  This room has room for additional built in shelving, a large work space, plenty of outlets for office equipment and telephone connections and currently has a daybed placed under the windows.  Internet at Casa Andesita has been available through a dial up connection, Satellite and High Speed Cable.

This is the view of the deck side of the office taken from the back bedroom door. 

The door at the opposite side of the photo is of the library.

This photo gives more of an idea of what the room looks like.  The floors are local hard wood.  There are smaller louvered windows between the larger windows.  The wall next to which is the table is the front wall of the master bedroom.  Above it are more windows.

This room has a telephone jack, as does the den and the dining room. 

The ceiling is high and in the local style of open beam and corrugated roofing.

The windows on the left look out over the veranda onto the garden, including bananas, guavas, plantains and sugar cane.

There is plenty of lighting and ambient light throughout the house. 

The wiring within the house is new and wired to Western safety standards.

This is the office.  The stairs lead down to the library. 

The porch is on the left just outside of the day bed windows.  I love the hardwood floors.
