 Rare Chaps- studded in Half Moon, Texas Star and Moon pattern

EXTREMELY RARE.  These wonderfully worn batwing chaps are decorated with very specific moon, horseshoe and star motifs using tacks.  Some of the star conchos are missing.  The decoration of the legs are mirrored in the belt. Chaps measure 34" long. The cuffs have been cut off, which was a pretty common occurrence.

Examples of this type of studding can be found in museum collections and is well documented- as this pair are in the book Cowboy Collectibles and Western Memorabilia by Robert Ball and Ed Vebell.
