Item #HHB154 / $3,500.
This bridle set is attributed to an inmate in Rawlins Prison, WY. The set dates to the early 1920's. Five rosettes and many colorful knots and designs are present throughout the piece. The matching top set of rosettes depict English spaniels. The two bottom rosettes show a horse head behind domed glass. The middle 'nose' rosette also portrays the head of a dog. This is a museum-quality piece that has been carefully preserved and is in excellent condition. The horsehair is especially smooth and supple. The reins are horsehair and all knots that decorate them are braided horsehair as well. A great addition to a superior collection. Rawlins Prison Horsehair Bridle / Item #HHB154 / $3,500.
