About This Book:

Trails I Rode by Con Price, Illustrated by Charles M. Russell.  1st Edition. Hardcover.  Signed by the author. Published by Trails End Publishing of Pasadena, CA in 1947, when the author was 77 years old.  This book is in excellent condition and is a fantastic documentation of the artist C. M. Russell's life, beliefs and working environment.  The dust jacket is present with a few nicks.  There are no rips, tears, or creased pages.  No markings other than the author's signature.  262 pages.

Mr. Price reminisces of his time with his good friend Charles M. Russell on the Montana Range.  There are drawings at each chapter heading, photographs and three color C. M. Russell items.  The endpapers are cattle brands drawn by Clarence Ellsworth.  This is an excellent old Montana frontier read.  Mr. Price also recounts his years a s a cowboy for the Montana Stock Growers Association and gives his first-hand insights on the cattle trade, American Indians, outlaws and gunfighters among other subjects.
