About This Book:

Wranglin' The Past, by Frank M. King. This book is an extremely rare Limited 1st edition: signed, inscribed and numbered [257 of 300].  Self-published in 1935 by the author.  This book is in Very Good condition - no tears or damage to any of the pages.  There is one rip in the binding at page 239.  The cover has some shelf-wear at the top and bottom.  There are no marks penned besides those made by the author.  No dust jacket.  244 pages with photographs from the author's collection of old stockyards and historic figures from the early days of the Texas range.  Mr. King tells of his experiences in the old West.  He knew many of the noted outlaws and gunmen, including Billy the Kid, Wyatt Earp and Johnny Ringo, but the value of the book lies in the overall picture of a lost part of American history, richly painted with personal recollection, photographs, historical documentation written with full understanding by the author of the coming demise of that free way of life.
